Always a great Korean restaurant to go to. The staff are always friendly, attentive and keep the place clean and the food is great! One thing great about Korean Restaurants are the appetizers, they do give a good portion of them and there's like 6 to 8 different appetizers provided.
I've always gone for lunch so it's either soup noodles or their lunch combos with fried fish with rice and soup which is quite filling.
They do have tabletop grills if you do enjoy tabletop grills -

Jeon Ju Hyang has been a long time staple in Scarborough for their authentic Korean food. Although there is the main OG spots in Koreatown (near Christie Station), Yonge/Steeles, or Yonge/Finch, Jeon Ju Hyang has quietly being a great underrated spot if you are looking for some good food.
It's a typical Korean spot where you can find your soups, stews, sizzling plates, barbecue, etc. However, their Gamjatang is arguably one of of the best I ever had in Toronto. Gamjatang is a very common dish served in mostly any Korean spot and each place has their own unique twist in terms of preparation, whether it be adding more rice cakes for texture or adding more green onion for texture.
However, Jeon Ju Hyang keeps it simple with their Gamjatang. It's a nice combination of the pork bone flavour, broth, potato and spices. There is a pleasant umami flavour in every spoonful. The cabbage is also a treat after it is poached in the soup for a while since it adds an element of sweetness to cool off the spiciness from the broth.
The banchan is very good. Even though it's not unlimited (max 1 refill), it's quite tasty as they rotate their spread (i.e. Algamajorim (potatoes), Buchimgae (Korean Pancake), Eomuk Bokkum (Fish Cake), Kimchi (ofc), etc).
If you aren't feeling the long trek to Koreatown or Finch Station, then Jeon Ju Hyang is the place to be for some good Korean cooking that's amazing for the soul. -

My bf and I love coming here for their porkbone soup and shrimp tempura. We order that every time. Even though this korean restaurant is located in a very busy mall, I feel that it's quite underrated, and that ppl usually go for Owl. I go to owl a lot too but honestly this place has better porkbone soup. Owl is up and down with their quality and depends on which location as well, not too consistent. Jeon ju Hyang is always good, the meat is always ready to come off the bone if u tug gently. The worse thing to happen when u eat pork bone soup is when the meat is not cooked long enough and u have a fight trying to tear it off the bone, my hand is tired. They also give many free side dishes that you can refill!
The tempura that I order here is a side dish but it's a huge portion , it does not come with rice so I order a rice on the side to make it a meal. Why not? The tempura batter is mixed evenly and the shrimps and veggies are fried to perfection. They give 5 big shrimps and so much veggie that I never ever can finish. Overall this is THE korean restaurant when we want the ganja tang and tempura. Will always return.
One last thing, they open til 12, so late night sudden cravings can be answered here lol -

This is an Authentic Korean Restaurant in the warden Foody Mart Plaza.
Their Gamja Tang (pork bone soup) Ramen is my FAVOURITE THING!
Food here is around 11-20$$$. Regular Korean food prices.
When i come in, they greet you right away. Service is quite fast.
We ordered the Gamja Tang (pork bone soup) Ramen and the Kimchi Chi Gae (Kim Chi stone pot soup).
Food came roughly 4 minutes PIPING HOT with 7 side dishes.
The side dishes changes daily, depending on the chef. And yes it is UNLIMITED FREE REFILLS!
The pork bone soup is light spicy in flavour. With roughly 2-3 pork bone and potato. Its super favourable. Highly RECOMMEND! Rating: 5/5.
My friend ordered the Kimchi Stone Pot with a side rice. It comes with Tofu, pork and glass noodles in the soup. Overall super favourable, but glass noodles tend to soak up all the soup, which after a while, the pot ended up with no more soup. Rating 3.5/5.
Side dishes wise, their seaweed are my all time favourite. AND WITH FREE REFILL!! OMGGGOSHH MY GOAL IN LIFE!!
Come give it a try!! Let me know what you think!! -

3.5 star - been here several times, from yrs ago to now recently and there have been a couple minor changes but nothing major. Menus have changed that's for sure. The beef kimbab had more beef and was fresher than the ones made now (I ordered this twice on two separate occassions recently to be sure). Just missing that extra umph, not sure how to explain what I'm looking for lol.
Service is still consistently friendly and attentive. Although, all the times I've came here were during non-busy times. I was always greeted and food came out in a timely manner. Prices have slightly increased but that goes for everywhere else so this is expected.
Side dishes are still great aside from their dried and somewhat hard potatoes now...love their kimchi, spicy cucumber and seaweed/kelp/wakame the best. Otherwise, main dishes overall have been consistently yummy and great! The Jajang Myeon could have had a stronger flavor though...found it a little too light on taste imo. I have yet to try their Yuk Gae Jang. I think for me, that will be the deciding factor if I will come back more often haha! I hope it's good though!!! But ya that's all I have to say for this restaurant!
